Art Quilts and Beaded Representationswww.ArtPal.com/westsidebirthser
Louana George started sewing at age 10 by making her own dresses. Her first quilt project was a "Double Wedding Ring" quilt quite a project given that at the time there were no easy to find patterns. She continued her quilt making by using traditional patterns but quickly sought to make quilts that had a more 'non-traditional' flare. She subsequently made display art quilts by utilizing repurposed items and photocopy transfer of images. Her recent works have included embellishments of beads and applique. Her latest projects are beaded representations of Arts & Crafts tiles by Motawi Tileworks. All pieces are one-of-a-kind.
