I am a hobby artist. I started painting when we lived in Denmark as a hobby and am learning more and more about art as I do it. I was always fascinated by art (especially impressionism and expressionism) and loved going to art museums as a kid and young adult growing up in Western Germany. When my daughter wanted to learn about art as a young kid, I painted with her for a week and got more and more into it mostly painting faces. That was more than ten years ago. Now we live in the Chicago area and I like to paint landscapes or moments in nature where I pay special attention to the light and how it affects the colors and our mood.
