"Urban Owls" is an India based art exhibition project run by Sushovan Nayak and Sudeshna DuttaGupta. It has two outlets at Kolkata and Pondicherry. They have done several exhibitions at Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Pondicherry, Mysore.
Sushovan Nayak is a diploma holder in Fine Arts from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, India and has been awarded as "Ankan Shree" and "Ankan Bibhakar". He is basically interested in human figures in monotone light and shadow. He explores the human in oppression, passion, depression and other forms of expressions. He loves to work with solid colour without dilusion.
Sudeshna DuttaGupta is a linguistics scholar working on Language of Expressionism. She is more interested in craftworks. She basically reuses liquor bottles, unused materials by working on these.
