- Expressing the transition of our sense of "time".-
I often feel that, for any living thing, its essence may appear throughout the changes in time of its everyday life. For example, when I find a beautiful flower in front of a building, I may get an artistic inspiration from imaging the relation between the sequential change of the plant and the surrounding enviromental changes. To express this idea, I take photos of the exact same plant or other objects that I am interested in every week throughout the year and, in some cases, for several years in a row. And I arrange the photos with a computer to show the difference in my sense of the art subject over a period of time. Then I display the photos in a sequence and expect that the overall essence of the subject will clearly appear.
