I started out just by taking a class in drawing at the junior college level and then got the grandiose idea of being a law enforcement sketch artist. Before I knew it, I was trained by the FBI and a renowned facial re-constructionist in the field of forensic art, drawing the pictures of suspects and reconstructing faces on skeletal remains for identification purposes. I was also on one of Oprah Winfree's shows when she did a piece on being a good witness. Since then I started drawing portraits and doing a bit of Southwest Art.
