What is Steampunk?

Steampunk is “the greatest era that never was”.

Set in the late 19th and early 20th century, it encompasses all of the romanticism of the Victorian and Edwardian Eras.

It is an alternate world for those who appreciate the fusion of old fashioned materials, inventions, art and fashion; with modern technology, science fiction and fantasy.

Set in an imaginary world or era where steampower is still widely used. It is a world of steam-trains, airships, mechanical/clockwork automatons and robots, streets lit by gas-lamps, mad scientists, fictional technology and inventions, Victorian/Edwardian ladies and gentlemen, time machines, futuristic weapons, time travel and fantasy.

In her spare time Lisa enjoys participating in World War 1 and World War 2 re-enactment events.
