Vandana has a passion for the creative arts since early childhood, and today marks her first public exhibition. After her graduate degree in Textile and Apparel Design from National Institute of Design, she worked as lead designer for Marian Clayden in Los Gatos and Batik Factory in Penang, Malaysia.
Through a longstanding career as a fashion designer, teaching art history classes at schools, and most recently creating works during her past three semesters at West Valley College, Vandana infuses her paintings with a unique blend of cultural and modern perspectives influenced by her extensive travels.
Vandana has cultivated a distinct art style influenced by artists such as Claude Monet, Henri Matisse, and Salvador Dali. Her preferred medium is oil and her subjects tend to be organic. She focuses on an impasto style and works mainly with an assortment of palette knives.
