Born in 1972 in Rabat, Rachid TALEB is a professional painter. After having obtained his bachelor's degree in plastic arts in Meknes in 1992 and his CPR diploma in Rabat in 1995, he became a professor of Plastic Education and Applied Arts. He has participated in several individual and group exhibitions in Morocco and abroad.
When we see his recent production we find the chromatic ingredients of his initial palette, at least what forms the foundations: a diverted perspective, flat grays arranged in such a way as to recall a construction, warm tones that vibrate in the same way. resonance only in its first phase, a vague geometry of forms for the purposes of harmony.
The creation is transformed there into a textual variation where the technical aspect predominates, intended to lead us towards a different plastic formulation: that of an elsewhere ordered in concomitant planes, with strongly chromatic connotations (in the musical sense).
Taleb's works are then all alike in the sense that they each form the milestone of an imaginary with two main components: lyrical and rhythmic: a spectacle of a set of plastic ideas in perpetual management.
