Presenting watercolor paintings by worldwide collected equine artist SC Joyner. Suzanne is known for her dreamy, colorful freehand drawn equine watercolors.
Suzanne works with many natural stone watercolors including Hematite, Turquoise, Serpentine, Lapis Lazuli, Mummy Bauxite, Black Tourmaline, Sodalite, Fuchite, Pipestone, Purpurite, Piemontite Tiger's Eye, Amazonite and Amethyst. Shading is achieved by carefully manipulating the mineral stone particles. These naturally derived pigments give the paintings a subdued look compared to the synthetic paints of today. The natural stone paints are difficult to master. The majority of the art is achieved in one pass. Read more about Prima Tek paints here: www.handprint.com/HP/WCL/primatek.htm
