I am most fascinated by consciousness, individual awareness and the collective consciousness of the world and its cultures. I draw on many years of study with eastern religious cultures such as those of Tibetan and Japanese Buddhist thought, psychology and art.
I like to paint and draw usually beginning with no particular intention except movement of pen, brush or hand to surface. Then I move with what evolves seemingly by “itself”.
I studied at the Art Students League in New York City in an east cost incarnation eons ago. I have sold art in Boston,Texas and the San Juan Islands where I have several collectors.
I often like to use primitive tools to make marks on old pieces of board or found items, for example. My interest is primarily in expressing what seems to be “in the air”. Right now that seems to be quite a bit.
