I have loved creating art for as long as I can remember. There's enough stress and sadness in the world and I hope my art will bring wonder, joy, and smiles to those who see it. I recently left a long nursing career to pursue art full-time because several months after my husband retired, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease (PD), a progressive, devastating disease. So, we discussed how we would spend the rest of our days. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. We agreed that I would channel my lifelong artistic talent into becoming a professional artist - mostly self-taught - and I would pursue my love of creating fun, quirky art, realistic and abstract. We also vowed that half of all the proceeds from my art sales will be donated to PD research. Every brush stroke and every pencil mark brings me great happiness; but, combining my love of helping people and my love for creating art, my life has more purpose and meaning. Please help me to help eradicate this horrible disease and bring some more sunshine into the world!
