Susana Barrantes, an artist of Mexican origin, started painting 15 years ago, using an ancient technique of wax and thread from the Huichol of Mexico. The Huichol or Wixáritari are an indigenous people living in the western Sierra Madre in west-central Mexico. In the Sierra Madre, the Huicholes, the last worshipers of peyote, hallucinogenic cactus and entheogen. Each year, they complete 500 km to harvest the sacred cactus that allows them to "talk to the gods." Susana offers a place of choice for forms and movement, forms that lead to an imaginary that expresses itself in the fields of thought, emotions and dreams ...
