Hi, I would like to take a few moments to tell you a little about myself,
My name is Joseph, from the start. I've had a tough go in this thing called life
I was premature, weighing only two and a half pounds, and born with epilepsy, which I struggled with for the first nine years of my developmental stage of life.
Learning was a very difficult journey for me, I had to develop my own unique and some would say, odd way of seeing the world.
This made learning a monumental challenge for me, mostly to resolve even the most common of everyday problems such as talking, and relating to others, verbally which made social interaction very awkward and difficult, dealing with multiple seizures daily, added to the stress of making friends. And, as the years went on I being unable to keep up with my peers in school. And as a result of these unique challenges,
I had to develop a different way to keep up with my educational demands. So, I began to lean toward the creative, first with drawing and then towards visual which became far easier than verbal communications with others it was far easier for me to absorb the visual than was reading, writing and pronunciation than any of the other such learning tools were. So, I started to doodling, and then, I eventually learned to draw, and sketch.
This helped me relate to my strangely perceived world around me.
Jumping ahead, many years of feeling ostracized, and being different than all of my peers, I became introverted, and then melancholy, holding fast to the only real friend I had ever known in my young life, " Art " and it would turn out to be my saving grace, and the tool by which I would began to relate to others through this radically perceived physical plane.
Although, I still have many of my quirks that I kept from my youth, and as far as the common person would perceive me still quiet odd, even today.
But I digress,
Flash forward to today,
I still retain many of my hard to shake quirks, and oddities.
But I have learn through the years of hard work and struggle, to use them to my advantage through the "artistic expressions," and it is through this venue that I am come before you today.
I have built an online gallery;
I have labored for years producing hundreds of works of art.
Placing what I have considered the best, into this gallery, I have setup this page in the hopes of supporting this gallery, and thereby; myself and my family. But, I have not yet been able to drive buyers to my gallery, to market my works, or to create a large enough audience to support an acquitted advertising campaign to sustain and promote my work.
And it is to that end, that I humbly come before you today.
If you would find it in your heart, to become my Patreon so my family and I may live The American dream.
Thank you so very much, for your time and patronage,
Joseph G Steadman
My step-son Jarryd Hall was in a severe car accident on August 28 2018 at 6:30 am on his way to work. When he went off the road into a culvert and over-corrected, and lost control of the car, which rolled 3 times, and he was ejected from the car. He was airlifted to Southwest Alabama Hospital and is in "Critical condition" with a brain injury. His family's resources are limited and they need our help to keep up with the increasing cost of his continued support and the care for his family. Thank You for your help and prayers.
God Bless you all,
The Steadman Family, and The Hall Family
