I was born in Sopot, Poland, into an artistic family, the daughter of a pianist and a painter. I spent my childhood playing instruments and experimenting with drawing and painting.
At six years old, my family fled to Berlin, Germany, where I spent most of my adolescent years. But eventually, I wanted to see more, and I left my family home, living and studying in a variety of places. I was fortunate enough to have called London, Los Angeles, Texas and New York my home.
I earned my Master's Degree in painting in New York City. My paintings are influenced by a love for art history. I have especially been inspired by the variations of lighting used by the Old Masters over the ages, and how it can provoke an emotional response.
