LiFire Arts

I am a local Detroit artist who specializes portraits Landscape, Portraits, Still lives and I mainly focus on expressionism based on self reflecting and communication with the world around me. For my work I use various mediums like oils, acrylics, charcoal and pencil.

My journey as an artist began at the age seven by teaching myself how to draw varies cartoon characters and many stylized shapes and forms. I would usually take a piece of paper and sometimes draw and color random things without any meaning. I am also impressed by different video game animation styles which encourages me to draw as they are and to develop a style that I think is appropriate for specific theme that I am creating. During my last two years at the University of South Carolina- Columbia, I have received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with no concentration in 2016.

Artist Statement

My intention is to use my art as a tool to learn about myself and the world and to understand the mysteries that both play in society. I like to incorporate a wide range of different animation styles and designs with support from existing sources that I already have to turn them into beauty or ugliness as a way to express with authenticity. With this in mind I want to be able to use it as a way to communicate and connect with the environment around me.
