Sheryl Craig creates art from her home on the family farm in Western Oklahoma. She gets inspiration from the landscape, unobstructed views of sky, and figures and faces of friends and family.
Sheryl has developed her interest in art from childhood. Her early work in graphite and color pencil developed a skill for drawing. She began painting in acrylic fifteen years ago and more recently in pastel and oil.

Although technically a self-taught artist, Sheryl has enjoyed attending several workshops in the last fifteen years. She is grateful to the Quartz Mountain Fall Arts Institute and their partner donors for the teacher scholarship to attend four-day workshops with practicing artist. In addition, Sheryl has attended plein-air workshops with the artist, Michael Chesney Johnson (http://www.mchesleyjohnson.com/about/).
