BIOGRAPHY

Serena Rossi was born on the 6th of March 1972 in Milan, where she lives and works.

While studying Pharmacology at Milan University, Serena continued to develop her interests in using painting and photography as means to express herself. She graduated in 1999.

Among the numerous visual art courses and workshops attended we would like to mention a workshop on printmaking techniques by the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation, one on painting at City Art Milano, one on sculpture at Docva Milano and one on painting on ceramics at Fondazione Sacchi Sesto San Giovanni.

Since 2002 Serena Rossi had solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
She is represented in private and public collections including ‘Museo a cielo aperto’ di Camo, Cuneo and ‘Museo dinamico per la pace’ di Savona.

Her first poetry book, ‘Nel divenire calmo dell’infinito’ was published in 2012 by Caosfera.

Serena received the ‘Premio internazionale d’arte Nettuno’ and ‘Premio Speciale Diritti Umani Spartacus’ for her artwork and a special mention in the international poetry competition ‘Strada Facendo di Nuova Acropoli’ and at the national poetry competition ‘Fiori di Puglia’
