Nancy Seay is a Professional Landscape Architect who enjoys documenting the beauty of nature. She is not professionally trained in fine art but explores photography and watercolor media.

Natural processes that Nancy is passionate about include Pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The Monarch Butterfly is at risk since it struggles to find food and reproductive hosts throughout it's life cycle. This and other butterflies, moths, dragonflies are favorite subjects. She captures insects at their work pollinating flowers or edibles.

Nancy also promotes water conservation with her work by featuring bodies of water and water loving plants and plant habitats. In her role as a Landscape Architect, she frequently designs areas to manage drainage and water retention by incorporating Rain Gardens and Bio-retention Ponds. These in turn promote wildlife habitat for a plethora or birds and other creatures.

Bird and Butterfly Safari's become one of Nancy's hobbies which finds her spending time outside hunting songbirds and other winged creatures with her camera.

Nancy has lived across the United States spending time in Atlanta, GA.; Dallas, TX;
Madison, WI; Brattleboro, VT; and now resides in Greensboro, NC with her husband, Dave and an adorable West Highland Terrier named Teddy. He occasionally finds his way into her work because he is just so darn cute!

Nancy is happy to be able to share her work with you here.
