S J Curtis has been a practising artist for over Twenty years, he was initially influenced by the Impressionists and Surrealists and is continually influenced by current images and art.
He has lived in the Wirral, Merseyside most of his life which is overlooking the Dee estuary of which landscape, vast skies and rising and falling tides influence him greatly and plays a large part in what he creates, in his own words he paints what he considers to be beautiful on and from this earth.
His paintings pay close attention to colour harmonies and the affect it has on you, have a tranquil, dreamlike and timeless quality allowing the viewer greater freedom to create what it means to them.
Most of the work produced today is in either oil or acrylic paint on canvas.
He is a member of the Art Mentoring Project, Artinliverpool, Dot-art and the Society of all artists.
