During my childhood then my adolescence I work drawing with my uncle Jacques MOREAU said Le Maréchal (painter, engraver, poet) leader of the informal movement called "School of Visionaries" and close to André BRETON.
After this initiation I work for 5 years direct carving at the Parisian sculptor René COUTELLE.
I work in direct size dialoguing with the block raw chosen and assuming that the work is already contained in the stone and it does not ask to be revealed.
My inspiration is twofold and comes from both the symbolism and the challenges that humanity faces.
I express myself mainly through sculpture and this is my main language. Through her, I communicate with the outside world and transmit my vision, my feelings, my emotions.
I create in the immediacy of the moment, animated by my sensitivity.
I start a conversation with a raw block by revealing the main lines of the work contained.
I gradually live in space, I make it mine. I accentuate, I soften, I explore, I add, I correct, I fade, I intensify.
I am listening to the stone since it tells me how to carve.
I continue the dialogue until hatching in a guided exercise of maieutics.
My works tell either my search for balance or symbolize warnings in a world where so many conflicts and challenges beset us.
Sculpting appeases me. I allow the stone to unfold in the impulse of the moment and accepts to be in fine only in the service of a revelation.
If stone remains my favorite material, I also create bronze and wood.
In order to share my art, I regularly participate in sculpture symposiums with the possibility of exchanging with other sculptors of the world.
I also transmit my techniques in courses and internships since 1991 but also with interventions in schools and associations.
