I am an artist of oil paintings. As a young boy I enjoyed sketching and drawing. My great aunt was also an artist and saw a talent in me that I did not know I had. During my high school years, she brought me oil paints and a canvas. She showed me how to mix colors; said she would be back in 30 days and to paint her something. I took art class in high school. And that is how I got started.
Over the years, painting was just a hobby. I painted as time would allow and only painted for myself or family. I had been away from painting for several years. In 2016 our 4 young granddaughters requested me to paint for them. I have a love for landscapes and mountains with fall/autumn scenes. The granddaughters had something different in mind; they requested their favorite baby animals. I used to sketch/draw animals but never painted them before this, so I had my reservations, but told them I’d do my best. And with that, a new passion was born.
Now I am partially retired, and you can find me sitting at my easel painting more often than not. I am ready to share my artwork with all of you!
