This is a scene from a cool, Winter evening at Chastain Park in Sandy Springs, GA just outside of Atlanta. My favorite time of year is the Fall and Winter with the cool, crisp air and the beautiful color changes in leaves. I tried to capture the variations that a light breeze can have on an otherwise still body of water creating subtle refractions in the light as it hits the water's surface. I also wanted to capture underground rocks in the foreground and the distortion caused by the reflected water on top of them.
