I'm a cartoonist/illustrator from Mississippi. I've recently made a series of illustrations for an art exhibit in Mobile, Alabama entitled "War In Heaven." The illustrations are about growing up in the Bible Belt in the 1970s and '80s, when the devil was everywhere. But what I got from it all was that we were supposed to live in constant fear - from the devil and from God, as well. I used these illustrations as a way to deal with fear that I've been carrying around since childhood. I hope my work also can bring some healing to others who've been affected by religious indoctrination.
