James Rübenach is an Australian artist working from his studio in northern Tasmania.
Rübenach's style incorporates abstract, expressionism, cubism and surrealism. His artistic style has evolved from traditional to modern and contemporary.
His creative journey began simply trying to copy the world around him with photo realistic drawings and paintings. Rübenach still draws inspiration from the natural world and combines this with imagination and personal perception of the universe. The mind creates a rich conscious experience, combining visual inputs with past experiences and phenomenon such as pareidolia.
