Carolyn MacMahon is a realist who loves to paint beautiful flower gardensd and dear pets and precious people. Married to an Englishman, she gets to visit England a lot, and paints what she sees there. Many of her paintings of cottages and quaint villages and scenery hang in private collections and in galleries across the US. She also does commission work, often painting grandchildren with the addition of fairy wings! People's pets are a favorite too.
She likes to paint light and shadow, and people say it reminds them of Thomas Kinkade art.
Carolyn has drawn and painted ever since she could hold a pencil, and as an adult studied art at the Port Washington School of Art. She is the past director of an art gallery, and has won many awards at art shows.
Carolyn and her husband have an "almost English cottage" in the picturesque town of Mena, AR, in the heart of the Ouachita Mountains. They have 16 grandchildren, who often end up in paintings!
