Born in 1952.
Happy childhood in Palaiseau, in the Paris region; The first six years in one of the first HLM built after war. The next 13 years, in an old mansion.
I learned to draw at 14 years with only advice not to use gum, to always look at the guidelines before asking the details, to be attentive to values. These councils came from my father Raoul (1923-2014), a painter also, who himself held them from the painter Loris Junec who was his friend for thirty years. It was at this time that I made my first oil painting after Sisley. I started oil painting in 1989.
It was also at the age of 14 that I discovered the piano. At the same time, I attended the Louvre, sometimes bringing with me a drawing book to study Poussin, Chardin, and others, amusing me to memorize the names of the painters and the titles of the works.
I studied art history at the Sorbonne and achieved a master's degree on the painter Tony Robert-Fleury (1837-1912)
I draw and paint from life, more often of imagination. I have been influenced by the painting of my father Raoul and his mentor Loris Junec, as well as by the work of Cézanne in particular and the Impressionists in general.
Although very passionate about the life of today, my art is rather turned towards the life of the past centuries. It is through the drawing that I give the best my universe. The scenes with characters are partly impregnated from my readings of Balzac, Dumas, Proust and Verlaine.
Currently, I read mostly police novels. My preferences go to American and English authors. I'm also an unconditional fan of the Beatles
