My name is Ryan Halsey, I am a photographer in the South Eastern Michigan Region. I mainly shoot Real Estate, Headshots and Portraits as well as Landscapes.
I am the son of Brian Halsey the artist of the majority of my posted works.
Biography of my father is as follows:
Brian Halsey was born in Kendallville Indiana in 1942. He studied art at Wheaton College in Illinois where he graduated magna cum laude, Chicago Art Institute, and Michigan State University where he also graduated magna cum laude. He holds an M.A. degree in Church History and the Creative Arts. In 1969 was awarded a United States Steel Fellowship scholarship to study at Florida State University from where he graduated in 1972 with a Ph.D. in Humanities. Additional study included research and studio art study in London, Paris, Holland, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
Halsey taught art at Spring Arbor College before devoting his career full time to painting and printmaking. Halsey is the recipient of awards and distinctions including recognition from: Society of American Graphics Artists, National Academy of Design, Pratt Graphic Center International Print Exhibition, Los Angeles Printmaking Society, Print Club Galleries in Philadelphia PA, and the Metropolitan Museum and Art Center in New York, and has enjoyed exhibitions including one man shows at National Academy of Design, N.Y.; Pratt Graphic Center, N.Y.; Metropolitan Museum and Art Center; and other venues. His work is collected in public and private corporations and museums including: Arthur Anderson Co.; Westinghouse Electric, Pittsburgh PA, Ford Motor Co., Dearborn, MI; Bank of America Corp., San Francisco, CA.; I.B.M.
