I had previously resided in the United States (Miami Beach, FL) and graduated from Florida International University (FIU). I now live in Spain, the home of my family and origins, (Spanish side; Italian side from Piemonte). I have been a professional artist since 2003 after my first successful expo in Istanbul, Turkey. In later years, 2016, I returned to exhibit in Turkey and had a six month expo in the Aegean city of Izmir. I have exhibited in Europe: Spain, Fuendetodos, Aragon; Valencia, then in New York (Soho and Brooklyn); in Florida, Miami, (where I represented the city of Asti, Italy in the sister cities art expo 2005/05), Miami Beach, Sarasota and Bradenton. My current collection reflects my love of jazz and I have titled it "JaZzArt". These pieces are all from the "JaZzArt in Valencia" series, all done in my studio in that city. I work with the definition of Jazz, which is Improvisation, Rhythm, and the Player as Composer. In the case of a painting, I allow my compositions to grow through improvisation, seemingly the figures themselves are improvising as the composition acquires layers of complexity but always with swing. I am open to anyone wishing to learn more about art, my style of art, "Jazz-Art," or any other style and I will reply to inquiries. I compose with colours and shapes that deal mostly with the art forms of music and dance and as well the human figure. I am not an abstract painter, nor an expressionistic painter. I am a naturalist. My paintings vary from style to style in accordance to that ever-present rhythm that must exist in order for there to be Jazz! Thank you!
