I'm a South African artist with many styles. I produce and create my art works from my studio in the coastal town of Port Elizabeth.
All my work starts with an invisible grid. Invisible in the sense that I see it, but you the viewer will not notice it.
From this foundation, it develops into pop art, abstract, free flowing, very tight strict realism art, or whatever I'm planning to paint at the time.
My still life art, however, is drawn free hand without any grid.
I use oil and acrylic paints, pencils, charcoal, Kokis and crayons, bottle tops, tin cans and old sweet wrappings, depending on what I'm doing at that moment.
My painting technique, shows time, for example, on that day, I made that mark. This morning I made that mark.
My current subject references are nudes, multiple figures in a frame, architecturally interesting abandoned farm houses in my province, seascapes, and designs indigenous to my country, horses and gold fish.
