Hi! My name is Polina, I am 23 years old. I come from a small Russian town, the name of which means nothing to anyone, even in Russia. When I was 18 years old, I left my parents for one of the most beautiful cities in Russia, St. Petersburg, to become a real artist. This is the dream of my life. In St. Petersburg, I graduated from the design University and now I'm trying to earn my creativity.
Since childhood, I have been inspired by nature, animals, people and St. Petersburg. This can be seen in my works. In portraits, I like to convey a person's feelings and character through their eyes. For me, the eyes are the most important part of the face, which I always put more emphasis on.
I work in a modern style of painting, because modern painting is open to experimentation. I love applying new techniques and inventing my own techniques.
At the moment, I haven't had a significant solo exhibition yet, but I'm working hard and I hope to fix it soon! In Russia people don't appreciate art and that's why I sometimes have a very hard time. I find myself in a constant dilemma: to draw what sells well or to draw what my heart demands. I have millions of ideas but I do not have time to implement them because I have to draw portraits to order for very little money. but I know that the more you work, the faster you will reach your goal!
