Mr. Ripley is a New Hampshire photographer who spent many years in the computer industry. After retiring in 1999 he decided to make photography a serious pursuit. Gordon’s main photographic interests include landscapes, macros, Infra Red photography and photo restoration. He uses Digital media to capture displays of nature. His New England images have been exhibited at the Peterborough, NH Library, Asops Tables, Peterborough, NH, the Simon Abbott Gallery in Jaffrey, NH, the Petersham, MA. art shows, the Gardner, MA. art shows and the Civic Center in Jaffrey New Hampshire. Mr. Ripley has planned and led his camera club on major photography tours to SW Colorado, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, The Eastern Sierras of California, Oregon and the Everglades. Over the years he has conducted numerous photography trips in his native New England area. In his spare time he teaches the fundamentals of photography, hikes in the Mountains of New Hampshire (In 2008 he completed the Appalachian Trail after 40 years of section hiking) and creates furniture in his extensive home workshop.
Mr. Ripley is past president of the "New England Shutterugs Camera Club" located in Leominster, Massachusetts. He is also a member of the New England Camera Club Council, The Monadnock Area Artists Association and the Photographic Society of America. Mr. Ripley resides in Rindge, NH with his wife Jane.
