Jenna grew up coloring, sewing, drawing, and creating things to satisfy her own curiosity or to sell as custom creations. In high school, she sold many of her works and won 1st and 2nd place awards for her artwork at the Colorado State Industrial Arts Fair. She has her AA in Interior Design from Hawkeye Community College. While attending, she was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's nighttime rendering of the Guggenheim Museum. She would adopt his vibrant use of color on a black background as a part of her trademark style. Jenna attributes this training and inspiration for her unique watercolor, oil pastel, and color pencil style and overall skill as an artist. Her multimedia piece “Sail Brain” was chosen to be the cover of the Brain Injury Directory – 2015/2016. In 2016 she began to explore her love of textiles and painting combining the two into a line of one-of-a-kind hand-painted ties. "Shooting the Curl" video shows the process she uses to create a hand-painted item. With over 25 years’ experience working with a variety of media, she is still passionate to learn new techniques and explore new combinations.
