JOSÉ A. PELÁEZ, graphic artist, designer, poet and photographer, was born in Havana, Cuba on September 7, 1950. He resides in Puerto Rico since 1961. In 1975, he graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico with a Master in Architecture, and a Minor in History of Art and Architecture.

On 2009 he published his first work in prose, Cotidianos, consisting of chronicles and short stories, on Libros de la Iguana Press.
