I have been a stage actor for more than thirty years. My work has taken me across Canada, the U.S., including Broadway, and Asia. One of the many things I've learned on this journey is that I am driven to be creative, and must always have an outlet for that creativity. During a sabbatical from the stage, after a strenuous 6 years in The Lion King, I decided to take advantage of the free time by taking a painting class. Fast forward to several years later, and painting has become one of my true joys in life. I think about paintings I want to do almost as much as I think about roles I want to play. During the early part of 2020, thanks to COVID lockdown, the volume of paintings I was producing increased dramatically. I also used the time to begin learning how to paint watercolour nudes, as the idea of being physically and/or emotionally naked is something that has always fascinated me as an actor. This gallery represents my on-going learning curve, my long, winding road to discovering my personal style, and snapshots of the things I find beautiful and worthy of putting brush to paper.
