I am a self-taught artist, born and raised on Canada's east coast, more specifically, in our beautiful province of New Brunswick. I was introduced to oil paints as a teen when my father started creating his works from imagination and memories; works depicting the Acadian people in the way they lived when my father was growing up, in Rogersville, New Brunswick. I first picked up a brush in 1999 after taking charcoal drawing from a self-taught artist, and painting became a passion for me. I have been painting portraits from the beginning, and I continue to have a passion for capturing the life that my clients have seen in their loved-one's eyes, for some, my painting becoming their go to image to revisit their loved ones or their beloved pets. I have experimented with other subjects, and I continue to actively pursue ideas. My husband and I are relocating in a small coastal community, and I am thrilled that I will be able to explore and paint new scenes, coastal images, and people just being people.
