Norm was born in Toronto in 1954, but was raised in North Bay Ontario the, Gateway to the North and the entry into Ontario's Rainbow Country.

He spent most of his free time traipsing through the bush when ever possible.

Through High School contrived to take every Fine Arts course available in the curriculum, and was a member of the North Bay Art Association at its inception.

Took a number of extracurricular Art and Audio Visual night courses at Canadore College during that time.

On graduation he proceeded to Waterloo University and took a diversified program majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Fine Arts, in the attempt to acquire a well paying job to support his artistic endeavors.

During this time of study and experimentation, he finally resolved down to preferring to work with Acrylics utilizing techniques acquired from oil, watercolor and air brushing. His focus on wildlife as his main subject being a forgone conclusion.

Over the past years he only submitted one painting for evaluation to the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival Art Competition in the Open/Wildlife class, placing 3rd.

With a deep love of the wilderness and all life, having the ability to share this with others through his art, has been a true blessing.
