Alberto is a mild-mannered graphic designer by day and a fine art painter by night. While currently working in Chicago Alberto maintains a body of work online and on gallery walls. While earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree at Columbia College Alberto was trained as an illustrator and refined his painting style. Alberto has been an artist for most of his life and has spent the last 10 years working professionally.
Alberto's style is a mix of acrylic paint, marker, ink, collage, and screen printing. His work is characterized by vibrant colors with striking contrast, portraying the seemingly mundane with a fun and humorous twist. He is influenced by the work of modern artists such as Andy Warhol and Picasso. Alberto also pulls inspiration from the urban art movement lead by the likes of Shepard Fairey, Banksy, and Mr. Brainwash, to name a few. Their bold style is reminiscent of the comics Alberto read as a teenager and still reads to this day. He pays tribute to all the great creative minds that came before and taught him how to create a bold visual story.
In his personal life he is a husband, a father, and proud Pug owner. When not painting Alberto enjoys reliving his youth through vintage cartoons, comics, and video games.
