Alberto is a mild-mannered graphic designer by day and a fine art painter by night. While currently working in Chicago Alberto maintains a body of work online and on gallery walls. While earning a Bachelors of Fine degree at Columbia College Alberto was trained as an illustrator and refined his painting style. Alberto has been painting professionally for over 10 years. Now at the age of 30 Alberto looks to make a dent in the art world with his bright and comical style.
Alberto's work focuses on acrylic paint, marker, ink, collage, and screen printing. His work is characterized by vibrant colors with striking contrast, portraying the seemingly mundane with a fun and humorous twist. He is influenced by the work of modern masters such as Andy Warhol and Picasso. Alberto also pulls inspiration from the urban graffiti art movement lead by Shepard Fairey, Banksy, and Mr. Brainwash, to name a few. Their bold style is reminiscent of the comics Alberto read as a teenager and still reads to this day. He pays tribute to all the great creative minds that came before and taught him how to create a bold visual story.
In his personal life he is a husband and proud Pug owner. When not painting Alberto enjoys reliving his childhood through retro cartoons, comics, and video games.
