I vividly remember the satisfaction felt after my first sale of a painting at a group art exhibition. To think that someone actually wanted to buy something I had created was really exciting. A childhood spent doing arts and crafts, everything from drawing and painting, to sewing, knitting, crochet and ceramics led me to want to work in a creative way.
I’ve worked as a freelance desktop publisher / graphic designer but after more than 30 years in the industry decided it was time to follow my true passion. Finding the right art teacher led me to move away from my abstract paintings and start creating images in the realism style. And although I’ve always painted birds and landscapes, I’ve now found using the medium of pastel gives a unique life to these images.
