Born in 1981 in Moscow, former USSR.
I came to the abstract painting in 2015, while travelling in North Portugal, volunteering on rural farms. Back then, painting with watercolours felt like letting things dissolve into you, and essentially that feeling seemed important to me. I always was fascinated by abstract works which naturally has affected my own style. Most of my works reflect on nature: dark seas, rainy days, trees and the leaves rustle, snow and absolute silence.
For number of years now I've been a photographer as well, watching people, listening to the nature. I learnt how to develop and print photographs in a dark room, what was an act of pure creation - watch how objects appear on a white sheet of paper. Abstract works slightly influences my photography too, likewise the other way around, my photography became less concrete and more figurative.
