My painting is construction, color planes that I overlay to make known shapes appear: table, cloth, cup, fruit, space ... I use a four-color palette as a foundation for all the others and I begin to compose from a model and a note of color. I challenge myself composing my oil painting within the confines of a small square canvas (12x12 in) because it is regular, stable and limited; It is also equal to one square foot, the unit measure used for construction. My influence comes from post-impressionism, from Van Gogh's color harmonies and from Cézanne's construction plan. But unlike them, I don't use the contour line, I eliminate it to emphasize the color plane.
