Metaconceptualism~ The elements I choose to use in my paintings, such as fruit, cups, bottles, windows, and flowers are not just mere visual reproductions of worldly objects. These are my conceptions of these objects painted from a metaphysical point of view. The use of these common elements allow me to establish an initial communication with others, thus becoming a bridge to share my feelings. I look at her world around me not with my eyes, but with my heart. The external “reality” with its shapes, colors, sounds and various sensations are reflected on my soul, producing this imagery by which I express my emotions.

Painting has been always a tool that had helped me discover about myself and to communicate with others. The emotions, sentiments, and unknowns of my persona (read soul) that exist inside of me, materialize and become tangible in the external world. Looking at my work I learn about my inner self and my relationship with the external world. Sometimes this relationship had been stressful and painful; my ideals and feelings were in marked difference with the status quo. The more I know about myself, the more I am in harmony with others and the world. This knowledge makes these ideals and feelings grow stronger every day. I believe there is an artist in all of us. It does not matter what you do but what you are. If you love what you do, and you do it the best you can, then you are an artist.
