I work in many different media with wood as my primary material, and sculpture as my main focus. Typically, my pieces are three dimensional and are made in a wide range of sizes. Much of my inspiration comes from nature, as well as the desire to re-purpose what many consider useless or garbage, into something beautiful. Sometimes that's a worm eaten log from the side of the road or dump, sometimes rusty bits from a basement or dumpster. Regardless of where it comes from, typically the inspiration comes from the items themselves. That is for me, the fun; saving the "un-savable." While most of my work is in private collections, I do have pieces in galleries as well as the permanent collection of a Connecticut museum (Mattatuck Museum).
