Richard Mubiru

My name is Michele Cunningham. I recently returned from a trip to Cape Town South Africa. During my visit I came upon a very talented, humble young artist named Richard Mubiru. He works with other local artists at the African Art Gallery in the scenic wine country of Stellenbosch, Cape Town South Africa. Ever since his childhood he was always drawn to the arts. He was highly praised for his artistic skills and always received excellent grades in his Art classes. After completing high school, he joined the Institute of Art and Design in Pretoria from 1996 -1999, he received his diploma in 1999.

He mainly works with acrylics and oils on canvas, but he also does batiks as well. I was so impressed with his work that I offered my help in getting him some exposure outside of South Africa. I have no prior experience in promoting or selling art, but I offered my help and he has entrusted me with some of his beautiful work depicting typical South African life. Because of his limited resources he is unable to do this for himself.

I would love nothing more than for everyone to own an original piece of art from Richard Mubiru's collection.
