Myles Crawford is a competely self-taught and multi-media artist, combining the textures of wood, fabric, canvas, oil, and acrylics as well as charcoal and ink to display his creativity. Myles recreates historical icons and individuals through portraits and abstract pieces. Each piece conveys a connection & deep sense of energy. Myles' works are purposely configured to present and illuminate the passion and emotion of the character. He began his artist journey at the age of 6, under the tutelage of his mother and artist, Debbie Crawford. Myles' artwork is recognized in his community as well local competitions.
Myles grew up in creative & cultured household where expression, love, & history was celebrated daily. His mother, Debbie Crawford, was an well-known abstract artist & graphic designer in the city of Raleigh. Myles worked along side his mother in uplifting her brand and outreach through local competitions and art festivals. ’Melo Creations’ was created in the summer of 2017. ’Melo’ derives from the Swahili culture, meaning ’vibration’. He believes that everyone perception and actions is made up pure vibration. Myles' desires viewers to not only see his works but graps the connection.
