As per Indian philosophy, there are 3 states of mind- sattva (pure), rajsic (energised), tamsic (dull). All three states are always present all the time while one of them is dominent.

If square shape and white colour is sattva
triangle shape and red is rajsic
circle shape and black colour is tamsic

Using these guidelines variety of mindscape emerges.
