After teaching high school biology for twenty years, I decided to try my hand at painting because I had always liked to draw. I studied studio art at the Simons School for the Arts, The College of Charleston, in Charleston SC, where I was juried in as a member of the Charleston Arts Guild. My paintings have been exhibited at Spencer Gallery and Sermet's Corner in Charleston and at the Blackbaud Exhibition in Mt. Pleasant, SC, at Gallery 528 in London, and Cranleigh Lawn Tennis and Social Club. I currently live in London and I have sold internationally. I paint in oils, mostly on canvas but also on wood and board. I love to paint subjects that blend realism with other styles, and contain an element of mystery and dreamlike wonder. I am willing to do commissioned works, including portraits. See examples in gallery.
