The focus of my work is to create of a utopian environment. As the society progresses, people forget about the fundamental roles communication plays in their lives, to resolve the issue I choose to build a city that reinforces the human ideals. This cacophony of the facades and structural elements describes the bizarre marriage of an urbanized cityscape in a futuristic, dystopian environment. Furthermore, Imagery which is over-saturated with industry and urbanism references destructive path creation, starkly contrasting the serenity that often characterizes our life. People no longer question the oddities that influence their lives, instead, they adapt to their surroundings. Ultimately, this series explores the otherworldly nature of this environment and investigates human nature’s passivity and ability to adapt.
The works are an abstract representation of the blending cultures and joining of people in an ideal city. The concept of building a strong, powerful community is depicted through the use of the rudimentary architectural elements such as staircases, beams, and arches, which in turn symbolize the necessary qualities for human connection. The elements lay a foundation, creating a discord of façades, elevations, sections, and plan views that together create a dynamic, harmonious composition. The work is inspired by the Suprematist and Constructivist movements of the Soviet art and architecture.
