I am a self taught self driven contemporary gestural artist born in Toronto Canada in 1979. My destiny has taken me back to my origins and roots in Athens Greece where I feel closer to nature and connected to who I am in my core. I also find great inspiration from my surroundings everything from the rocks used to mark territories of homes to the branches and leaves of the natural grown olive trees in the mountains and the emerald or other times turquoise greens of the sea. Mesmerizing coral pinks oranges and reds that beam from the magical sunrises all thrown onto my work other times purposely and other times subconsciously. All my works are original, spontaneous and based on emotion.
I use pallet knives, sponges and my bare hands. I always need to feel the paint on my skin to feel connected to the work and make it my own! The canvases I work on are deep edged therefor are ready to hang and framing is not necessary of not wanted. The works are signed front and back with the date marked. The works have a slight textured finish as they are bold strokes of oil paints on canvas.
At times I use gold, copper or silver leaf whenever I think it compliments the work as also pastel sticks and colored pencils.
