Mark Sypesteyn is an instructor of design drawing & visualization af the Delft University of Technology, faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. He received his MSc. in Industrial Design Engineering at the same faculty in 2014.
He learned the fundamentals of drawing and rendering there, and he extended the obtained knowledge and skills to realm of fine arts throughout the past decade, specializing in drawing and painting the human figure and portrait. Studying this topic from many different resources has allowed him to build an extensive understanding of the principles and techniques in creating art and using a solid foundation of knowledge to do so.
His work can be characterized as a contemporary blend of accuracy and expressiveness, showing his understanding of the need for foundational rigor, yes combining it with a toch of loose execution which infuses his work with a liveliness that not only attracts the viewer, but engages as well.
